Conviction
← All Terms

Once every individual score is in, Conviction is the summary judgment — High, Medium, or Low — of how strongly the overall case holds together. It's not just an average of the numbers; it reflects whether the strengths and weaknesses paint a coherent, believable story. A company can have a great business with mediocre near-term visibility (Medium conviction) or a merely good business trading at a genuinely excellent price (also worth attention). Conviction is meant to be a quick gut-check before you dive into the detailed scorecard — not a replacement for reading it.

In practice: A 'High' conviction doesn't mean 'guaranteed to go up' — it means the case, on balance, is well-supported by real evidence rather than speculation.
